Deobfuscate & Refactor JS File
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I have a single JavaScript file—about 2 MB, minified and heavily obfuscated—that I need transformed into clean, maintainable ES-style code. The behaviour must stay absolutely identical; only readability, naming and structure should improve.
Please apply the Google JavaScript Style Guide throughout and focus extra effort on the main logic functions so that future tweaks are straightforward. Detailed inline comments explaining the reasoning behind non-obvious logic are required. Automated AST tools such as de4js, javascript-obfuscator’s reverser or custom Node scripts are welcome, and any additional manual refactoring is fine as long as the end result runs exactly like the original.
Deliverables
• A fully reformatted .js file that executes with the same output and side effects as the current build
• A short text or Markdown note summarising the key tools and steps you used, just for internal transparency
I will spin the cleaned script in the same environment and compare outputs; once parity is confirmed, I will sign off the milestone. The work is strictly for internal maintenance, and I’m happy to sign an NDA if needed.
