Our Network is eliminating the cost and complexity of traditional video production. Our remote‑capture platform and professional editing service help nonprofits, agencies, and local publishers turn everyday footage into high‑impact, short‑form stories—quickly and affordably. We are a pre‑revenue, VC‑backed startup assembling the founding engineering pod that will take our MVP to market.
What You’ll Do
Ship core MVP features across the stack using Next.js 14 / React (primary) and SvelteKit (emerging green‑field modules).
Design serverless back‑end logic (Next.js Server Actions, Node.js λ, Edge Functions) and orchestrate data in Supabase/PostgreSQL.
Own file & media flows—upload, transcode, and serve assets via Uppy + AWS S3 and integrate with third‑party APIs (Remotely.fm, Stripe, Cal.com).
Prototype AI‑powered experiences:
- Build Retrieval‑Augmented‑Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector search for script suggestions, captioning, and content tagging.
- Leverage no‑code / low‑code tools like Bolt to validate AI workflows rapidly before hard‑coding.
Implement responsive UIs with Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui and ensure a11y & lighthouse scores stay green.
Establish a pragmatic testing cadence (Jest + Cypress) and participate in weekly async code reviews & architecture huddles.
Help set engineering best practices—CI/CD on Vercel & GitHub Actions, IaC for AWS where needed—and shape our culture of fast, friendly feedback.
Must‑Have Qualifications
3+ years professional JavaScript/TypeScript engineering with production React / Next.js apps.
Comfortable jumping between front‑end and back‑end tasks; solid SQL and data‑modeling chops.
Hands‑on experience with Supabase, Postgres, or similar relational DBs.
Real‑world integrations with REST/GraphQL and at least one major payments, auth, or media API.
Familiarity with modern DevOps for serverless (Vercel, AWS Lambda, CloudFront, S3).
Self‑directed, clear communicator, thrives in the ambiguity of 0→1 product work.
Extra Credit
Built or contributed to SvelteKit projects.
Implemented RAG, OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar AI tooling.
Used Bolt or comparable no‑code platforms for workflow automation.
Experience with video processing (ffmpeg, Mux, HLS) or real‑time recording SDKs.
Prior startup or agency contract experience where you wore multiple hats.
