Milestone 1: Project Setup & Core Framework
Estimated Duration: 2 days
Purpose: Establish the technical foundation of the ERP, set up structure, and ensure user roles and authentication are working before moving into school-specific modules.
Deliverables:
1. Requirement Confirmation & Documentation:
* Finalization of features & tech stack (Laravel/Node.js + React/Angular + MySQL/Postgres or equivalent)
* Database schema design (at least draft for core entities like Users, Roles, Students)
* UI/UX Wireframes (Basic Dashboard)
* Layout of the Admin dashboard and navigation structure
* Sample design screens for login, dashboard, and user role management
2. System Setup:
* Backend framework setup with database connectivity
* Frontend project initialized
* Git repository & version control configured
3. User Authentication & Role Management:
* Secure login system
* Role-based access control (Admin, Teacher, Student, Parent, Staff)
* User profile management (basic info)
4. Initial Dashboard (with dummy data):
* Admin dashboard view showing sample stats (students, teachers, classes)
* Side navigation menu with placeholders for upcoming modules
Success Criteria for Approval:
* Able to log in as Admin, Teacher, Student, and Parent with different role-based dashboards
* A working dashboard with navigation and dummy statistics is visible
