Build framework for node.js express pwa

We have an antiqued ASP classic webapp with a odbc SQL backend that needs to be converted to a new technology, we have chosen a nodejs.
The webapp mostly displays table data with some business logic on some of the data before display.
We require a simple well commented barebones webapp template using nodejs, express and odbc npm packages.
Webapp must include examples of basic SQL queries ( select , insert, update, delete ) and business logic operations, SQL queries need to be abstracted in such a way that future migration of SQL database will have little impact on the queries and business logic.
We hope to then use the template you provide to slowly migrate our old app to the new one while using both on the same data in parallel.
