Backend Developer for Job Portal MVP

About Us:
Placera is a student-first job platform connecting college students with early-career opportunities. We’re building a smart screening engine that helps employers in India—especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities—hire better talent, faster. We’re a small, passionate team working on our MVP and preparing for a soft launch in 2025.
Project Scope:
We’re looking for a freelance backend developer to help us:
Build and integrate the screening system backend (logic for test scoring, user sessions, time-based challenges, etc.)
Set up and manage secure user authentication
Design APIs for job listings, applications, employer dashboards, and student profiles
Implement admin-level tools for analytics, candidate flow, and screening insights
Tech Stack (preferred, but flexible):
Node.js / Express
MongoDB / PostgreSQL
RESTful API development
AWS or any cloud deployment service (basic setup)
Bonus: Experience with Firebase, Django, or Python logic-building
Who You Are:
Freelance or part-time developer with 2–5 years of experience
Comfortable working in early-stage, fast-moving projects
Based in India, preferably Surat or willing to work closely with someone based there
Able to deliver milestones within 4–6 weeks with ongoing support after
Duration & Compensation:
Initial project: 3–4 weeks of sprint-based work
Part-time role; can lead to longer-term collaboration
Compensation: ₹10,000–₹15,000 depending on scope and experience
