AWS Lambda Expert with Nodejs Knowledge

I am looking for an AWS Lambda expert with knowledge in Nodejs to help me with my project.
I am having issues with a helloworld nodejs project. I want all the functions within this app to be able to connect to my rds mysql.
Currently I have only figured out how to connect functions manually to the rds. Aka have to do it for each function. My main app has many functions so i want to be able to have access to the rds from the app level so any function within can reach it.
