Russian Sign Language (RSL) AI Avatar — Web App Development

Project Overview:
We are looking for a developer to build a web application that converts speech and text into Russian Sign Language (RSL) animations in real time using a skeletal avatar. The goal is to make digital services accessible for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
What needs to be built:

Speech-to-Text module — Whisper (OpenAI) integration for real-time microphone input
NLP text processing — lemmatization (pymorphy2), synonym search (RuWordNet), semantic similarity (FastText)
Gesture mapping — matching words to RSL JSON poses; fingerspelling (letter-by-letter) for words without a gesture
Avatar animation — skeletal animation rendering via MediaPipe coordinates with smooth transitions between poses
Web interface — Flask backend, JS frontend; text field for editing before playback, option to save animation as a file

Preferred Tech Stack:
Python, Flask, MediaPipe, Whisper, pymorphy2, RuWordNet, FastText, JavaScript/HTML/CSS
We're looking for someone with:

Experience in NLP and computer vision
Strong Python and Flask skills
Experience with animation (JSON skeletons, smooth transitions)
Bonus: experience with sign languages or accessibility projects
