Restore Roundcube Webmail on HestiaCP
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m running HestiaCP on an Ubuntu server and, after installing PHP 8.1 alongside PHP 8.3, the Roundcube interface stopped loading altogether. The login page never appears—just a blank response.
Prior to the version swap I had edited several Roundcube config files and adjusted the web-server settings inside HestiaCP, so there’s a good chance those customisations are now clashing with the new PHP stack or missing extensions.
Your task is to trace and resolve every dependency or mis-configuration that prevents Roundcube from displaying. That includes checking PHP-FPM pools, making sure essential extensions (imap, intl, mbstring, xml, etc.) are active for the correct version, repairing any symlinks, and bringing the Nginx/Apache vHost back into line with HestiaCP conventions. If my earlier file edits are at fault, roll them back or rewrite them cleanly.
Acceptance criteria
• /webmail loads the Roundcube login screen without PHP or JS errors
• I can log in, send, and receive a test email successfully
• A short changelog of what you touched so I can repeat the fix after future PHP upgrades
You will need solid experience with HestiaCP, Roundcube, PHP 8.x, Postfix/Dovecot, and the typical Nginx+Apache proxy setup that Hestia deploys. I’m ready to give you SSH and panel access as soon as we agree on the engagement.
