Nginx correct set up for htaccess

I have a site that wa created on a normal host with apache... so we move over to google with nginx and now the pretty permalinks does not work. I need someone that makes sure nginx is reading correctly htacess and delivering correctly the pretty permalinks... the error right now when going to a link is 404 nginx not foud... start your proposal with "nginx links bad" to know you have read this.
