Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js, Next.js, MongoDB) – EHR, Scheduling & Cron Jobs

We are looking for a senior Full Stack Developer to work on an existing EHR (Electronic Health Record) system built with Node.js (backend), Next.js (frontend), and MongoDB (database).

The platform includes a complex appointment scheduling system where multiple doctors can be available in the same time slot across multiple U.S. states, along with background cron jobs that handle system automation.

This role requires real-world experience with production systems, scheduling logic, and background job management.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance and maintain an existing EHR system
Work on multi-doctor, multi-state appointment scheduling

Handle:

Same-slot availability for multiple doctors
Doctor availability rules and overrides
Time-zone and state-based scheduling

Update, optimize, and maintain cron jobs / background tasks for:

Appointment reminders
Status updates and cleanup jobs
Automated system workflows
Fix bugs, refactor code, and improve performance
Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js
Develop UI using Next.js
Optimize MongoDB schemas and queries
Ensure data security and compliance standards

Required Skills

Strong experience with Node.js
Strong experience with Next.js / React
Strong knowledge of MongoDB

Proven experience with calendar & appointment scheduling systems
Hands-on experience with cron jobs / background job processing
Experience working on live production systems
