React E-Commerce Site Build
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a full-stack developer to create a brand-new e-commerce website from the ground up. Website development is the top priority, so the project starts with a clean slate: UX/UI, architecture, and deployment are all open for your expertise.
Frontend
• React is the framework of choice (feel free to lean on Next.js if it speeds things up).
• Responsive design that performs smoothly on mobile and desktop.
• Core pages: home, product listing, product detail, cart, checkout, and a customer account area.
Backend
• Node.js with Express or a comparable stack to expose a robust REST or GraphQL API.
• Secure authentication (JWT, OAuth, or your proven method).
• Real-time inventory updates and order management endpoints.
Database
• Design and provision either a MongoDB or SQL schema—whichever you feel best suits scalable product, order, and user tables/collections.
Integrations
• Payment gateway (Stripe and/or PayPal).
• Shipping and tax APIs.
• Email/notification service (SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.).
Quality & DevOps
• Clean, documented code in Git.
• Basic unit tests for critical logic.
• CI/CD pipeline configuration for staging and production.
Acceptance criteria
1. A deployable e-commerce site with end-to-end purchase flow functioning in staging.
2. Admin dashboard that allows product CRUD, order tracking, and user management.
3. Clear setup instructions (README) so future updates, bug fixes, and improvements happen smoothly.
If you have questions about specific tools, workflow, or timeline, let’s talk—my goal is a polished, maintainable product that can grow quickly once launched.
