Next.js SaaS Sports Academy Platform — Developer & AI-Assisted Feature Builder + Mobile App

About the Project
NextGen Sports is a live, production multi-tenant SaaS platform for sports academies in India. Built on Next.js 15 + TypeScript + TailwindCSS + Supabase, it allows academy owners to manage members, batches, bookings, payments (Razorpay), attendance, memberships, and more — all through a web dashboard and a public-facing booking portal.
The platform is actively used and deployed at nextgensport.in. The codebase is well-structured, thoroughly documented, and already has a strong foundation. We are now looking for a skilled developer to maintain the platform, build new features, and develop a companion mobile app — all using AI-assisted development (Claude/GitHub Copilot).
What You'll Be Doing
1. Ongoing Platform Maintenance & Bug Fixes
Monitor and resolve bugs reported by academy owners and members
Handle database migrations (Supabase), RLS policy updates, and API route fixes
Ensure performance and stability across the platform
2. New Feature Development
Upcoming features include (but are not limited to):
Late fee support for memberships (enrollment late fees are already built — membership mirroring is pending)
Revenue reports and financial analytics dashboard (currently in progress)
Reconciliation engine for bank statements vs. Razorpay vs. cash payments
Notifications system (WhatsApp/SMS via MSG91, email via Resend)
Coach portal — view assigned batches, mark attendance, log session notes
Retail shop — purchase orders, inventory, bill scanning with AI (Gemini API integration already started)
Parent portal — enroll and manage children's coaching and memberships
Additional features as the product evolves
3. Mobile App (Capacitor)
Wrap the existing Next.js PWA in a Capacitor native shell (iOS + Android)
App already pre-planned — approximately 45 lines of new code
Handle multi-tenant deep linking and post-OTP phone-number tenant resolution
Set up push notifications via Firebase FCM
Submit to Google Play Store and Apple App Store
Use EAS cloud builds for iOS (no Mac required)

Requirements
Strong proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and React
Experience with Supabase (queries, RLS policies, migrations)
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) — this is a hard requirement, not optional
Experience with Capacitor or React Native mobile app development (for the mobile app work)
Familiarity with Razorpay or similar payment gateways is a plus
Ability to read and understand an existing production codebase independently
Good written communication and responsiveness
Available for ongoing engagement (not a one-time project)
Nice to Have
Experience submitting apps to Google Play and Apple App Store
Knowledge of Indian fintech (Razorpay, UPI flows)
Experience with PWA features (service workers, offline support)
Familiarity with MSG91 / WhatsApp Business API
Engagement Type
Hourly — ongoing, part-time to full-time depending on availability
