Next.js API & Google OAuth -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a mid-senior developer who already feels at home inside Next.js API Routes and can wire them cleanly into a modern front-end. The core of the job is to build production-ready endpoints that cover full CRUD operations, secure them with OAuth, and connect everything to Google’s, Instagram and Tiktok APIs.
Scope of work
• Design and code REST-style API Routes in the /pages/api or app router (v13+) structure, following best practices for scalability and testability.
• Implement OAuth flows end-to-end (consent screen, refresh tokens, secure storage) so every protected route seamlessly authorizes through Google.
• Stitch the new endpoints into my existing Next.js front-end components, returning the exact data shapes they already expect.
• Handle all CRUD actions—including validation, error handling, and edge-case responses—without blocking the UI.
• Provide concise technical docs or inline JSDoc so future contributors see how to extend the routes.
• Prepare all operational and technical documents
Acceptance criteria
1. All CRUD endpoints respond with the correct status codes and JSON payloads.
2. OAuth integration passes third party OAuth verification and issues/refreshes tokens smoothly.
3. Front-end pages render and update in real time using the new API (you may demo with SWR or React Query).
4. Code ships in a clean Git commit history with clear setup instructions for local and production environments.
The existing repo is on GitHub, built in Next.js are already configured. Stick to those tools and keep dependencies lean. If this sounds straightforward for you, let’s talk timing and milestones so we can get it merged quickly.
