Lead Developer for Legal SaaS (Vercel+Supabase)
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
I’m spinning up a multi-tenant SaaS for the legal sector and I need a senior engineer who is comfortable wearing both the “hands-on coder” and “technical lead” if required. The stack is already defined—Vercel for hosting, React + Next.js on the front end, and Supabase (PostgreSQL) on the back end—and we’ll jump-start development with the makerkit.dev boilerplate.
The first milestone is a solid core that supports:
• Tenant-aware user management with RBAC for Admin, Lawyer, and Client roles
• Secure document management (upload, versioning, search, and audit trail)
• Billing & invoicing that can scale across tenants and plug into a payment gateway
Because third-party integrations are a given, you should be comfortable evaluating and wiring up services such as e-signature, payment processing, or AI APIs, document scanning as they become relevant.
Beyond writing production-ready code, I’m counting on you to:
• Set up the repo, CI/CD, and Vercel environments
• Define coding standards and architectural guidelines other devs can follow
• Break work into clear, testable deliverables and review PRs when the team grows
• Keep an eye on performance, security, and compliance from day one
