Hotel Room Upgrade Bid Platform Dev MVP
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
We’re looking for a developer (or small team) to rebuild our working prototype of a hotel room upgrade bidding platform.
The platform allows hotel guests to bid for upgraded rooms after booking. Hotels can approve/reject bids, manage availability, view payouts, and export data. We’ve already tested the logic and flow in a no-code prototype (Softr + Airtable), and now need it built properly with full control, clean UI, and scalable logic.
This is for a presentable MVP, not a quick hack. We need it to function well and look polished, even if the UI is simple.
Key Features:
Guest-side:
Validate booking using Booking Ref + Email
If valid and eligible:
Show available upgrade rooms
Show room extras and price comparisons
Enforce upgrade eligibility rules (e.g. full stay only, cut-off hours, paused/unavailable rooms)
Allow bid submission
Display bid status (pending, approved, rejected)
Hotel-side:
Login-based dashboard for hotel users
View and manage bids
Approve/reject bids with optional comments
View payouts, commission, and revenue (manager user only)
Upload room unavailability and pause rooms
Export reporting data (CSV) (Manager user only)
We Will Provide:
Complete Airtable schema with 7+ structured tables (Bookings, Bids, Rooms, Payouts, etc.)
Fully tested logic (edge cases, formulas, eligibility rules)
Working prototype UI flow as a reference
Full system summary in PDF (field names, logic, relationships)
Ongoing support during build
Requirements:
Must be built using custom code (React, Next.js, or similar)
Backend can use Supabase, Firebase, or your own suggestion
Must implement secure guest validation and scoped access (guests only see their own data)
Must include basic, clean, responsive UI
UI should not look blocky or raw — we expect basic design polish using a UI kit or template (Tailwind UI, AdminKit, etc.)
Ability to handle conditional logic (e.g. unavailable dates, cut-off times, role-based pages)
Admin dashboard for hotel staff with filters and CSV export
Deployed or deploy-ready final product
Preferred Tech Stack (but open to alternatives):
Frontend: React or Next.js
Backend: Supabase, Firebase, or Node/Postgres
Auth: Supabase Auth, Firebase Auth, or your own system
Payment gateway: We will use either Stripe/Paypal OR both can be used
Timeline:
Flexible
Looking for quality over speed.
Ideal delivery: within 3 to 4 weeks
To Apply, Please Include:
Your preferred tech stack and why it fits this project
Relevant project examples (preferably dashboards or booking/marketplace-style apps)
Whether you plan to reuse Airtable or build a new backend
Your estimated timeline and cost
