Google Maps Integration for an Uber-Like Application Built with Next.js and MongoDB
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m building a web-based, Uber-style prototype and I need the real-time navigation portion wired up with the Google Maps API. Your task is to drop a fully working navigation module into my existing web app so riders and drivers see live turn-by-turn directions between any two points.
What must be included
• Real-time navigation with automatic re-routing when the path changes
• Google traffic layer toggled on by default
• Street View available at the tap of a button for any step in the route
• Custom markers for driver, rider, pick-up and drop-off locations (I already have the SVG icons)
• Clean code plus a short README on how to swap in a new API key and hook the module into another project
Tech notes
I’m fine with a modern framework such as Next.js the solution has to run smoothly in all evergreen browsers. Use the official Google Maps JavaScript SDK and stay within Google’s usage guidelines.
If you’ve integrated Google Maps navigation on the web before, this should be a quick win. Let’s get moving!
