Full-stack Developer for Application Audit &Optimization
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer to optimize our existing production application (Next.js + Expressjs + Prisma/PostgreSQL). The app is live with active users, but we need a comprehensive technical improvement to ensure scalability, security, and performance as we grow.
This is a multi-phase project with potential for long-term collaboration.
Project Scope
Phase 1: Technical Audit & Strategy (REQUIRED FIRST STEP)
Before any implementation, we need you to conduct a thorough technical audit of our codebase to identify:
Performance bottlenecks (database queries, API response times, frontend loading)
Security vulnerabilities (authentication, authorization, data validation, common attack vectors)
Architecture issues (scalability concerns, technical debt, code quality)
Database optimization opportunities (indexing, query efficiency, N+1 problems)
Caching strategy (current implementation review and recommendations)
Frontend performance (load times, unnecessary re-renders, optimization opportunities)
Deliverable: Detailed audit report with:
Prioritized findings (Critical/High/Medium/Low)
Actionable recommendations with estimated effort
Performance benchmarks (if applicable)
We want YOUR independent assessment - please don't ask us what issues we think exist. This audit will determine the scope of Phase 2.
Phase 2: Implementation (Based on Audit Findings)
After reviewing your audit, we'll agree on priority items to implement, which may include:
Database query optimization and indexing
Security hardening (authentication, rate limiting, input validation, etc.)
Caching implementation (Redis or similar)
API performance improvements
Frontend refactoring and optimization
Code quality improvements
Testing implementation (if recommended)
Our budget for audit and full optimization process is $300
