Event & Service Finder Web App (Fixes & Improvements)

I’ve started building a web app where people can post their events (like weddings, birthdays, etc.) and connect with service providers who want to offer free or discounted services to build their portfolios. The project is functional but needs some fixes, improvements, and added features before it’s ready for public use.

The app is built with React (Next.js) and Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Storage). A GitHub repository is ready for collaboration.

What’s already done:

Firebase setup (Firestore, Auth, Storage)

User signup/login

Event and service posting

Profile pages

Basic UI layout and Firestore rules

What needs improvement:

Fix Firestore permission errors (e.g., missing/insufficient permissions)

Improve Firebase rules and data access

Add location-based event/service listings (city or geolocation)

Enhance profile pages (add username, location, user type)

Integrate “Buy Me a Coffee” or donation page for platform support

Improve UI/UX, responsiveness, and loading performance

Optimize Firestore queries and fix minor bugs

Optional (if time allows):

Admin panel for moderation

SEO/meta improvements

Social sharing for public events

Tech Stack:

React (Next.js) + TypeScript

Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Storage, Functions)

Cloudinary (optional for images)

Requirements:

Experience with Firebase rules, Firestore queries, and Auth

Strong React/TypeScript and UI/UX skills

Ability to debug efficiently and deliver clean, tested code

Details:

Firebase keys removed from repo (use local env setup)

Timeline: 1–2 weeks
