JS Developer, Fix Meta Data on Radio Player
Budget: $10 – $200 USD
I have a Internet based Radio player @ https://listen.eternityready.com which is a replica of https://listen.klove.com, You can listen to several radio stations and see what songs previously played and much more.
I am having an issue with the meta data & artwork on the frontend of the radio player. Quite often, the meta data such as Artist Name / Song Title is not correct. This is not just with one station but several. I know its an issue with the radio player. Not the individual stations. The Radio player will show the wrong artist or song name and when it scrapes APPLE MUSIC for art work. Sometimes will show the wrong artwork. He constantly tells me the radio player only gets what the radio streams provide. I constantly check my meta data for different songs to troubleshoot. I realize its the player not the stations.
The freelancer who made the radio player for me 3 months ago did a very good / bad job. He does high
quality work very well, but his code always seems to be proned to bugs.
We need someone to fix meta data bugs and ensure our player gets correct Artist & Song & Art work Data for all stations on our player. Or your welcome to not use docker and change our code / method to get meta info and artwork in a different way that how we do it. I am open to suggestions.
Here are facts about our radio player and code tech stack:
** Radio player is made in Next / React JS / Node Js.
** Docker container on a VPS. I am open to not using Docker.
** Backend admin that allows me to update the radio stations.
** We scrape Apple Music to get artwork. We get meta data from Radio Station Streams.
** The streams mostly are all MP3 streams. But we can even play AAC or other streams.
This project will not be a high payout. We are a new kid on the block. We are family - faith focused and are a non profit. We need someone who knows Next / React / Node JS and can work with high quality error free code.
