Custom NextJS Blog with AWS EC2

Job ID: 38330304

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I'm in need of a skilled developer who can assist me in building a bespoke blog using NextJS. The blog will be hosted on AWS and will utilize either MongoDB or Firebase as the database.

The blog design is already set and ready for implementation. As for features, the initial version will prioritize the following:
The basic design of the website is already there so not a lot of effort is needed on the design side. The main work is on finishing the entire website (currently there is only a home page). We need to build components/pages for "Learning" section, "Articles" section and "About Me". Learning and Articles are technically going to be very similar.

- I want to convert this into a CMS so I should be able to write/add and updates articles on the fly.
- I should be able to add simple text, code blocks, images, videos (via youtube links) or embed tweets to the article page
- I should be able to change the content of the article and publish date as well. By default it should pick today's publishing date automatically.
- Any visitor of the website should not be able to update the article and should only be able to read. Maybe we can create a admin area which I can access to update
- The home page will show the latest 5 learnings and latest 5 articles on the page
- I can explain the entire design (which would be a similar of an existing website) but few minor changes.
- A Comments section under each article and I should have a way to block comments
- Social media sharing integration
- A basic like or love functionality for each article

Other:
- I want to setup a basic CI/CD pipeline such that anytime I push a change to github, the blog should auto update
- Want to make sure AWS deployment is robust with no server crashes. If server crashes, it should immediately auto start
- You will need to explain the entire code base and AWS setup at the end of the project

I will be handling the content creation for the blog, hence the focus will be on the technical and design aspects. It's crucial that the final product is efficient, secure, and easily scalable.

Ideal candidates for this project should have:
- Proficiency in NextJS and AWS
- Previous experience with MongoDB or Firebase
- A keen eye for detail to execute the predetermined design
- A good understanding of implementing interactive features like comments and social media sharing
- Strong communication skills to ensure clarity and collaboration throughout the project.
