Astrology PWA Shop & Readings
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m launching an astrology-focused Progressive Web App that blends a full ecommerce experience with engaging reading tools. The primary purpose of the site is to sell personalized astrological charts and readings. Also, I’ll be selling astrology-themed jewelry, horoscope books, and printable natal-chart posters—yet I also need users to return daily for free horoscopes and to purchase in-depth natal and compatibility reports.
Scope of work
• Build a standards-compliant PWA so visitors enjoy app-like speed, push-notification reminders for daily horoscopes, offline browsing, and a one-tap install icon on mobile.
• Design a responsive, visually enchanting UI consistent with cosmic branding while keeping conversion paths to the cart frictionless.
• Implement an ecommerce flow—product catalog, secure checkout (Stripe and/or PayPal), order confirmation email, and basic CRM export. All physical products will be sold via partners and we will not maintain any inventory for them. If a user wants to purchase any jewelry showcased on this site, they will click on the link and it will take them to partner sites or affiliate sites.
I will provide all astrological data, information and calculations. All you have to do is to call procedures at the backend and then pull information from base tables and show it on the front end. All astrological calculcations and prediction engine is managed by me. It is all based on python code and Postgre database running at the backend.
All the data has to be stored in an encrypted format.
Core website functionality required:
1. User registration and management. User creation should be done with two factor authentication via OTP. Similarly user login should always have a two factor authentication.
2. Users will be free or paid. No further tiers in paid membership. Free users can store upto 4 profiles in their accounts. Paid users can store any number of profiles. A profile includes following information - Full Name, Data of Birth, Time of birth, place of birth, Gender.
3. Horoscope generation and distribution through emails in pdf form. A free user will be able to get high level predictions. A paid member will get detailed predictions.
4. Match making and compatibility information display. Free users will get a high level information whereas the paid member will get detailed information. This page should ask for details on both partners and then show the compatibility scores.
5. Admin consol for managing membership prices and resolving member issues like password reset, user addition or deletion from backend. Admin consol should also allow me to Edit services and products offered, edit copy, manage coupon codes, and trigger horoscope notifications.
6. Should have blog functionality
7. Links to facebook, Insta and youtube
8. Optimised for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup relevant to horoscopes and products before final deployment to my domain.
9. One additional representation will be required for showing the astrological factors related to a person. The visualization will be primarily in the form of a trend line chart having multiple trend lines, each representing a different aspect. This needs to be discussed, but the key requirements here is that given the base data, you should be able to create and display a line chart having multiple trend lines.

Acceptance criteria
1. Lighthouse PWA score ≥ 90 on mobile.
2. Purchase flow tested end-to-end on at least two payment gateways. Preferred payment gateways are stripe and Razor Pay.
3. The charts and horoscopes should have distinctly rich and 'decorated' visual. It should be visually striking.
4. Push notification successfully sent and received on Android, iOS Safari, and Chrome desktop.
5. Source code, documentation, and deployment instructions handed over in Git repository.
If you already work with React + Next.js, Vue/Nuxt, or a comparable stack and have experience integrating astrologic libraries or APIs, that’s a plus—just let me know your preferred approach.
