I recently purchased an Asustor NAS and have already activated the Emby license. Now I’m ready for a full, end-to-end setup carried out over AnyDesk. Here’s what I need done:

• Security & Core Configuration
– Lock down the NAS, apply best-practice hardening, and keep future updates painless.
– Assign a static IP and connect my OVH domain so I can reach the NAS from anywhere.
– Optimise link aggregation or the fastest LAN option the hardware supports.

• Media & Entertainment
– Fresh Emby install with smart libraries and user profiles.
– Recommend and set up reliable TV-recording software so scheduled shows land directly on the NAS.
– Point me toward safe tools for downloading movies or music, then configure them for automated workflows.

• Streaming & Live Services
– Plan and deploy a storage location for Asustor Live so I can broadcast effortlessly.
– Design the folder structure and network rules for a future streaming-plus-chat website that will be hosted on the NAS.

• Virtualisation Roadmap
– Prepare the NAS for Proxmox and VMware ESXi, laying out volumes, backups and passthrough settings.
– My primary guest OS will be Linux, so please tune templates and drivers accordingly.

I’d like clear explanations of each decision so I can maintain the system long-term. Once everything is running smoothly, a short hand-off call or document summarising the configuration will wrap things up nicely.
