ZeroTier & Tailscale Configuration
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need an experienced hand to spin up a fully-functional ZeroTier and/or Tailscale environment that links my Windows PCs, Linux servers, and a few mobile devices into a single private overlay network. Strong, end-to-end encryption is mandatory, and the result should feel like all machines live on the same secure LAN no matter where they are.
Here is what success looks like to me:
• Every listed device joins the overlay and can reach the others by internal IP.
• Traffic is verified as encrypted from edge to edge (packet capture or comparable proof).
• Any necessary firewall or routing tweaks are in place so common services (SSH, RDP, HTTP, databases) work without manual tunnelling.
• A concise, step-by-step document shows how you did it so I can add future nodes or rebuild from scratch.
Feel free to recommend whether both tools should coexist or if one is clearly better for my use-case; I’m open to expert advice as long as the final network remains simple to manage and solidly protected.
