Secure AS2 EDI Integration

I need help finalising an AS2 connection on a restricted network so that EDI documents flow reliably between my environment and trading partners. The endpoint will run on Mendelson AS2, and the firewall only allows a narrow set of ports, so certificate handling, encryption, and MDN returns must be tuned to avoid unnecessary handshakes or time-outs.
The core work involves:
• Installing or reviewing the current Mendelson AS2 build, applying any patches, and importing the partner’s X.509 certificates.
• Configuring the AS2 profiles, signatures, encryption ciphers, and synchronous / asynchronous MDNs to meet our partner’s specs.
• Verifying message integrity end-to-end with test EDI payloads and producing a concise hand-over document that shows each step, key store locations, and the final trading-partner parameters.
Success is measured when the partner receives and acknowledges a signed, encrypted EDI file through the secured network without manual intervention, and the returned MDN is logged in Mendelson with a 200-level HTTP response.
If you have direct experience hardening Mendelson AS2 in locked-down environments, especially where only EDI data is exchanged, your expertise will be invaluable.
