Mikrotik Config Fix for Samsung Devices
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I run a Mikrotik-based Wi-Fi network where every non-Samsung device enjoys full, stable Internet access; however, every Samsung phone or tablet shows the familiar exclamation mark—“Connected without Internet.” Oddly, Chrome loads pages and YouTube streams without hesitation, yet TikTok, some social-media feeds, and a few background services refuse to load, and the handsets drop off the SSID after a short while.
This looks like a subtle interaction between RouterOS wireless settings (CAPsMAN, frequency, channel-width, country, 802.11 protocols, security, fast-transition, etc.) and the way Samsung’s Android firmware probes for connectivity. I’d like an experienced Mikrotik specialist to:
• Remote-audit the current configuration (wireless, bridge, NAT, firewall, DNS, MTU, mangle rules).
• Spot and correct anything that could block, rate-limit, or misreport connectivity checks or certain traffic classes.
• Validate the fix on at least one recent Galaxy handset so every app—especially TikTok—behaves normally and the “!” disappears.
I will provide you with the mikrotik sec file so that you can check for issues.
