Independent ASN and IPv4 Blocks Setup
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need to secure my own independent ASN with RIPE NCC, have it sponsored by a trustworthy LIR, and bring the number online through working BGP sessions.
Because I do not yet have a sponsoring LIR, your first task will be to identify and approach one that is comfortable hosting Tor exit traffic, offers strong privacy policies, and is known for a censorship-resistant stance. Region is less important than those privacy guarantees; I’m happy to work with any reputable provider that meets that profile.
Once the sponsorship is arranged, I want you to take the ASN request from documentation through to approval in the RIPE portal, create the necessary route objects, and prepare an ROA so everything is RPKI-valid from day one. After the allocation is confirmed, we will move straight to configuring BGP: building filter-sets, establishing at least two upstream or IX peers, and proving that the routes for my prefixes are visible on global looking-glasses.
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
• ASN successfully issued by RIPE NCC
• Sponsorship contract in place with the agreed-upon LIR
• Route object(s) and ROA published, passing validation
• Live BGP sessions with advertised prefixes reachable worldwide
• A concise hand-off document covering all commands, portal screenshots, and contacts for future maintenance
If you have direct relationships with privacy-minded LIRs, experience registering ASNs for Tor infrastructure, and a solid track record of clean BGP roll-outs, I’d like to get started right away.
I also need to lease and purchase ipv4 blocks that are comfortable with hosting tor nodes
