Guard Kit Cybersecurity

Job ID: 40103249

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

Guard Kit is already a full-featured, PyQt5 desktop application that merges network security, web vulnerability testing, malware inspection, cryptography, and digital-forensics utilities under one roof. Everything runs smoothly on Python with an SQLite back end and generates neat PDF/HTML reports.

I now want to push the toolkit further in three areas:

1. Advanced network scanning – specifically, a reliable, multithreaded port-scanning engine that can probe common and custom port ranges, respect timing/paranoia flags, and export results directly into the existing reporting workflow.

2. Seamless integration points for external cybersecurity tools. My initial thoughts are Wireshark, Nmap, or even Metasploit, yet I’m open to whichever solutions you feel will slot cleanly into the current Python/PyQt5 architecture. The goal is single-click hand-off or data import without bloating the app.

3. A set of customizable UI themes so users can switch between light, dark, and high-contrast palettes at runtime, with their choice saved to local storage.

Deliverables
• Updated Python modules and UI files implementing the port scanner, integration hooks, and theme manager
• Any third-party libraries bundled or clearly documented in requirements.txt
• A concise setup or migration guide so current users can upgrade in place
• Sample run demonstrating each new feature and the generated combined report

Acceptance criteria: the new features must compile and run on Windows and Linux, respect existing database schema, and keep overall application performance within 10 % of its current load time.

Everything else in Guard Kit—the GUI framework, reporting engine, and existing security modules—is solid and ready for you to extend. If you enjoy clean Python code and practical security tooling, let’s make Guard Kit an even more powerful learning and analysis platform.
