Fix External RDP Access

Job ID: 39914134

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

My Windows Server 2016 suddenly refuses Remote Desktop connections from outside the office network. Internally it still works, so the RDP service itself is running. No recent hardware or software changes have been made, and the firewall rule for Remote Desktop is already in place. Externally, I receive the standard message: “Remote Desktop can’t connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons…”.

I need a Windows-server or network specialist to:

• Diagnose why external RDP traffic no longer reaches the server (router/NAT, port filtering, WAN IP changes, ISP blocks, or other causes).
• Restore secure Remote Desktop access from the internet.
• Document the exact steps you take so I can reference them later.

A quick screen-sharing session is preferred so we can test live once you implement the fix.
