Enterprise pfSense Installation & Rules
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
My enterprise network needs a clean pfSense installation, configured from the ground up. The job starts with properly installing the latest stable pfSense release on our designated hardware (or virtual appliance, depending on final sizing), assigning WAN, LAN and any optional interfaces, and confirming internet reachability.
Once the base system is stable, I want a well-structured firewall policy built strictly on ports and protocols. Typical examples will include allowing HTTPS to public web servers, blocking unused inbound ports, permitting specific internal services (e.g., DNS, NTP) and locking down all other traffic. Rule order, NAT reflection (where appropriate) and clear rule descriptions are essential so the policy remains readable to our in-house staff.
Although the initial scope is limited to firewall rules, I would like the configuration left ready for future add-ons such as VPN or traffic monitoring; please keep that flexibility in mind when naming interfaces, creating aliases and documenting the rules.
Deliverables
• pfSense fully installed and updated
• Firewall ruleset based on ports & protocols, tested and documented
• Brief hand-over document (exported XML config + summary of key settings)
The work is considered complete when the ruleset passes live traffic tests and the exported configuration restores cleanly on a fresh pfSense instance.
