Enable Remote Plex Access
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My Plex Media Server runs perfectly on my home network, but I can’t reach it once I leave the house. I’m looking for someone who can configure the server―and any router or firewall rules around it―so I can stream my movie library on the Plex Android app wherever I am.
Here’s what I expect:
• You identify and fix whatever is blocking remote access (typical culprits are port-forwarding, CG-NAT, or SSL certificate issues).
• Once you’re done, I can open the Plex app on my Android phone, tap a movie, and it plays immediately over LTE or Wi-Fi outside my network.
• You show me exactly what you changed so I can repeat the steps if I upgrade hardware later, or you document an alternative like a VPN configuration if that proves more reliable than an exposed port.
I can give you temporary remote access to the server OS, router admin panel, or any diagnostics you need. Success is a smooth 1080p movie stream on my smartphone without buffering, accompanied by a short note of the settings you applied.
