Design a distributed intrusion detection and prevention system

Using (n) of machine that connected to switch. Install Snort in each machine and write in each machine different set of snort rules (based on attacks categories Dos, probe, U2R and R2L). Then will use packets generator to find the results.
The purpose of this design is to improve the performance of IDPS.
I have done the literature review, and I need help on implementing this design.
