Configure Windows Remote Desktop Access

Job ID: 39999425

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I need to be able to reach my Windows 10 machine from outside my home network using Remote Desktop (RDP). The computer itself is already set up for RDP, but I’m unsure whether my router is forwarding the correct port—or any port at all—so at the moment outside connections fail.

Your task is to check the router’s capabilities, enable or adjust the NAT/port-forwarding rules for TCP 3389 (or an alternative port if you recommend one), and make sure Windows Firewall is aligned with the change. If the router uses a dynamic public IP, please walk me through adding a simple Dynamic DNS record so I can avoid typing a new address every time.

Acceptance criteria
• I can open the Remote Desktop client from a different network and connect to my Windows 10 desktop without VPN or third-party tools.
• You document each change (router menu path, port number, firewall rule) so I can replicate it later or roll it back if needed.

I’ll provide remote access to both the PC and router interface as required. If anything else is needed, just let me know.
