Chicago Network Security Consultation
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for hands-on guidance with my company’s network security here in the Chicago area. The focus is pure consultation, but I’d like it carried out on-site so we can walk through our existing topology together, review current policies and tighten any gaps immediately.
I’ve already identified the three areas that matter most:
• Firewall configuration – verify rulesets, harden edge devices and document any changes
• Intrusion detection – select or fine-tune IDS/IPS tooling, set alert thresholds and integrate with our SIEM
• Network monitoring – establish continuous visibility, build meaningful dashboards and train my team on response procedures
You’re free to recommend the tools you’re most comfortable with (pfSense, Palo Alto, Snort, Suricata, Zeek, Splunk, Elastic, etc.) as long as the end result is a clearly documented, repeatable setup and an actionable roadmap for future improvements.
Acceptance will be based on:
1. A concise report outlining findings, implemented changes and next steps
2. Live demonstration of the updated firewall, IDS and monitoring dashboards
3. A short knowledge-transfer session with my IT staff
If you can spend a day or two on site and then provide follow-up support remotely, let’s get started.
