Zabbix Surveillance Network Optimization

**Project Title:**
Zabbix Monitoring Configuration for IP Cameras and Network Devices

**Project Overview:**
We are looking for an experienced Zabbix engineer to configure and optimize a Zabbix monitoring system for an existing surveillance network consisting of more than 100 IP cameras and related network devices. The goal is to ensure reliable monitoring of device availability, network health, and key service ports.

**Current Setup:**

* Zabbix Server already installed and running
* Approximately 100+ IP cameras already added as hosts
* Basic ICMP ping template currently applied
* Hosts are currently showing "Unknown" or incomplete monitoring status
* System running on Linux server (Ubuntu)

**Scope of Work:**

1. **Zabbix Configuration Review**

* Review current Zabbix installation and configuration
* Verify server configuration including fping and ICMP checks
* Fix host availability issues and unknown status problems

2. **Camera Monitoring Setup**

* Configure monitoring for IP cameras using:

* ICMP ping (availability)
* RTSP port monitoring (port 554)
* HTTP / HTTPS interface monitoring (port 80 / 443)
* Ensure proper host interface configuration

3. **Template Configuration**

* Configure or customize templates suitable for IP cameras
* Apply templates automatically to hosts
* Create reusable templates for future devices

4. **Auto Discovery Configuration**

* Configure Zabbix network discovery for automatic detection of cameras
* Automatically add new cameras to monitoring
* Apply templates and host groups automatically

5. **Alerting and Triggers**

* Configure alerts for:

* Camera offline
* Network connectivity loss
* Service port failures
* Ensure alerts are reliable and avoid false positives

6. **Dashboard and Visualization**

* Configure Zabbix dashboard for:

* Camera availability overview
* Problem severity monitoring
* Network health visualization

7. **System Optimization**

* Optimize Zabbix configuration for monitoring 100+ devices
* Ensure scalability for future expansion (300+ cameras)

**Deliverables:**

* Fully working Zabbix monitoring setup
* Cameras showing correct availability status
* Configured templates and discovery rules
* Proper triggers and alerts
* Documentation explaining configuration

**Skills Required:**

* Strong experience with Zabbix administration
* Linux server administration
* Network monitoring and SNMP knowledge
* Experience monitoring IP cameras or network devices preferred

Expected completion within 1 days.

Remote access to the server will be provided. The objective is to achieve a stable, scalable monitoring system for surveillance infrastructure.
