On-Site Fiber NID Install
Budget: $60 – $65 USD
The fiber service provider has scheduled the Network Interface Device installation for Monday, 13 May, 11 a.m. EDT at a commercial address in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania. The job is strictly on-site and must be completed in that single visit.
Scope of work
• Mount and secure the fiber optic NID at the demarcation point.
• Terminate the incoming fiber neatly, following standard bend-radius and labeling practices.
• Perform testing and activation to confirm signal integrity and document final light levels before handing the circuit back to the provider.
Equipmentt: Laptop, good & working console cable, label maker, tools to mount/rack the equipment, AnyDesk or Teamviewer.
Completion is signed off once the NID is live, test results are shared, and the area is cleared of debris. Punctual arrival is essential because the telco field engineer will be present only during the scheduled window.
