Advance2000 is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with CCIE-level expertise to design, implement, optimize, and support our private cloud networking infrastructure and client environments. You'll architect high-performance, secure networks that power private cloud deployments, hybrid connectivity, managed security services, and specialized solutions for AEC firms (e.g., BIM/Revit workflows, high-bandwidth file access, and collaboration tools).This senior role combines deep Cisco expertise with cloud-native networking to ensure low-latency, reliable connectivity across our privately owned data centers, client on-premises setups, and integrated communications platforms. You'll collaborate with our 24/7 support teams, cybersecurity advisors, and client-facing engineers to deliver exceptional performance and resilience.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy enterprise-grade network architectures for private cloud environments, including core routing/switching, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and secure connectivity to client sites.
Lead network integrations for hybrid/private cloud migrations, ensuring seamless connectivity for high-demand applications (e.g., CAD/BIM software, large file transfers, virtual desktops/VDI).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across private cloud, on-premises, and edge environments; act as escalation support for critical incidents impacting client productivity.
Implement and maintain network security controls, including segmentation, ACLs, IPS/IDS, zero-trust models, and DDoS mitigation aligned with our managed security services.
Automate network configurations, monitoring, and provisioning using scripting (Python), Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Optimize network performance for latency-sensitive workloads, QoS policies, bandwidth management, and redundancy/failover in 24/7 production environments.
Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., advanced SD-WAN, cloud interconnects, AI-driven networking) and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
Document network designs, configurations, runbooks, and architecture diagrams; contribute to client-facing proposals and service delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and support cross-team knowledge sharing on networking best practices.

Required QualificationsActive CCIE certification (preferred: Enterprise Infrastructure or Security track; current or recently recertified).
8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with 4+ years in private/hybrid cloud or managed service provider environments.
Deep expertise in Cisco technologies: IOS-XE/NX-OS, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN (Viptela/Meraki), ASA/Firepower firewalls, ISE, wireless (if relevant), and ACI/SD-Access.
Proven experience designing secure, high-availability networks for cloud-hosted services, VDI, and data-intensive applications.
Strong knowledge of network security principles, VPNs (IPsec/GRE), load balancing, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar) for network management.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a track record in production environments; ability to handle escalations calmly.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients, support teams, and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with private cloud platforms, VMware NSX, or equivalent virtualization overlays.
Familiarity with AEC industry needs (e.g., high-bandwidth file sharing, Revit/AutoCAD performance over WAN).
Additional certifications: CCDE, AWS/Azure/GCP networking specialties, Palo Alto/PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE.
Exposure to observability tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus) and monitoring in 24/7 MSP settings.
Prior work in a managed IT services or private cloud provider environment.
