Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Network Engineer to provide onsite support for a scheduled network activity at a customer location. The engineer will work alongside the remote technical team to perform network-related tasks and assist with implementation activities.
Responsibilities:
Arrive onsite at the scheduled time and coordinate with the customer contact.
Provide hands-and-eyes support to the remote engineering team.
Rack, stack, mount, or unmount network equipment if required.
Connect, disconnect, and label network cables.
Perform basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Access devices through console connection when requested.
Capture and share photos of equipment, cabling, and rack layouts.
Report activity progress and updates to the project coordinator.
Follow all customer site safety and security procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Basic understanding of network infrastructure and cabling.
Ability to follow instructions from a remote technical team.
Laptop with internet connectivity.
Console cable and standard hand tools.
Government-issued photo ID.
Good communication skills in English.
