Onsite Network Engineer for One Day

Network Engineer – Onsite (1-Day Assignment)
I’m looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to be onsite at a client location for one full day to support a small network refresh. You’ll act as the onsite engineer while a remote network team remains on standby.
Your primary responsibility will be to rack, cable, power up, and patch routers, switches, and firewalls strictly according to the network diagram provided in advance. Once the hardware is in place, you’ll connect a console cable to enable remote engineers to complete device configuration.
Before wrap-up, you’ll perform a basic end-user network health check, including light troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and printers—verifying connectivity, resolving loose cabling, simple imaging tasks if needed, and test printing to confirm the refreshed network is functioning properly.
End-of-Day Deliverables
Routers, switches, and firewalls securely mounted, powered on, patched, and accessible via console
A brief handover summary including device serial numbers, port mapping, and any observed issues
Confirmation that all desktops, laptops, and printers worked on boot correctly, connect to the network, and print without errors
