Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Network or System Engineer to provide onsite technical support for a one-day assignment. The engineer will work with a remote technical team to perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, or hardware replacement activities at the customer site.
Responsibilities
Visit the customer site at the scheduled time.
Coordinate with the remote technical team during the activity.
Perform basic network and system support tasks.
Install, replace, or troubleshoot network and server hardware.
Rack and stack equipment, connect cables, and verify physical connections.
Assist with device configuration as instructed by the remote team.
Capture photos, collect serial numbers, and provide onsite updates.
Test the equipment after the work is completed.
Submit an onsite report with photos before leaving the site.
Requirements
Experience in Network or System Engineering.
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, servers, or related IT equipment.
Ability to follow remote technical guidance.
Good communication skills in English.
Own laptop with internet access.
Basic toolkit (screwdrivers, console cable, Ethernet cable, etc.).
Ability to travel to the customer site.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, or similar enterprise hardware.
Knowledge of rack & stack, hardware replacement, cabling, and basic network troubleshooting.
Duration
One-day onsite support (typically 4–8 hours, depending on the project).
Location
Onsite (Location will be shared upon assignment).
