One-Day Onsite Network Setup

Job ID: 40182466

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I need a freelance network engineer for a single-day visit to my client’s office. Your main task will be the physical deployment of routers, switches and wireless access points that my remote team will finish configuring later. Network diagrams are already prepared, so you’ll simply follow the remote team instruction and rack plan, mount each unit, connect power and data, patch according to the diagram, and verify console access so our NOC can take over.

Acceptance criteria
• All specified routers, switches and WAPs racked, cabled, powered and reachable via console
• Copper/fiber patches labelled to match the diagrams provided
• Deskside tickets for desktops, laptops and printers closed or clearly documented
• Brief hand-off report (device status, any outstanding issues) emailed before end of day

Bring your own basic toolkit—screwdrivers, cable testers, console cable, label maker—and be comfortable working independently in a data-centre environment. Familiarity with Cisco-class hardware is important; certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Tell me your availability and the city you’ll be travelling from so we can discuss accordingly
