LAN Design & Implementation Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need an experienced professional in network engineering to take full ownership of the design and implementation of a brand-new Local Area Network (LAN) for our premises. The goal is to deliver a robust, scalable, and secure environment that supports day-to-day operations without bottlenecks or single points of failure.
Here’s what I expect from the engagement:
• A detailed LAN topology diagram that clearly shows core, distribution, and access layers
• A bill of materials with specific switch, router, and cabling recommendations (brand-agnostic is fine, but justify choices)
• VLAN and IP addressing plans that allow for future growth
• Configuration templates or scripts ready to be applied to the chosen hardware
• Clear documentation so my in-house staff can maintain the network after hand-over
• Remote guidance—or onsite assistance if feasible—during the cut-over to ensure minimal downtime
Experience with enterprise-class hardware (Cisco, Juniper, HP, or similar) and familiarity with industry best practices for QoS, redundancy, and security segmentation will be essential to succeed in this project.
If you have successfully built LAN environments from the ground up and can demonstrate that via past work or references, I’d like to hear your approach and estimated timeline.
