Small Business Network Deployment - Single Site

I need a freelance Network Engineer who can take full ownership of designing, installing, and maintaining a secure, hybrid (wired + wireless) infrastructure for several commercial sites around the West Midlands. Typical environments you’ll encounter include estate agencies, retail shops, and medical surgeries, each expecting uninterrupted high-speed data transfer and reliable storage access.

Your brief begins with an on-site survey, followed by a detailed LAN/Wi-Fi design that balances coverage and bandwidth. Once approved, you will cable, rack, and configure the chosen hardware, then layer on the services we rely on most: robust firewall rules to lock the perimeter down and VPN tunnels that let branch offices and remote staff connect safely.

Security, uptime, and clear documentation are non-negotiable; I’ll need diagrams, config backups, and a concise handover pack so in-house staff can perform routine checks. Please be prepared to work with leading vendor gear—Cisco, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, or similar—while keeping firmware current and settings optimised for future scaling.
