Enterprise Network Restructure and Optimization

I’m preparing to overhaul our large-scale enterprise network and need an experienced network engineer or team to lead the redesign from planning through rollout. The core objectives are clear: tighten security, boost performance, and make sure the new topology can scale smoothly with future growth.
Current pain points revolve around ageing routers, switches, and firewalls. I expect you to audit these layers in depth, produce a pragmatic architecture proposal, and then implement the approved design with minimal downtime. Day-to-day tools in our stack include Cisco IOS-XE/ASA, Juniper edge devices, VLAN segmentation, OSPF/BGP routing, and standard IPS/IDS platforms, so proven fluency here is essential.
Key deliverables
• Comprehensive network audit report highlighting existing bottlenecks and security gaps
• Detailed high-level and low-level design documents (diagrams, IP plans, firewall rule matrices)
• Staged migration plan with clearly defined rollback steps
• Fully configured and tested routers, switches, and firewalls in production
• Post-deployment validation results covering performance benchmarks, penetration-test findings, and capacity projections
• Knowledge-transfer session with my internal team plus updated documentation
Acceptance criteria
• Latency and throughput improvements measured against current baselines
• All critical traffic segmented with role-based access controls and next-gen firewall policies applied
• Solution supports at least 2× projected three-year growth without major rework
• Zero unplanned outages exceeding our 15-minute SLA during cutover
