Comprehensive Network Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Our production network is showing its age: users complain about frequent disconnections, sluggish throughput, and I have already spotted a few worrying security gaps. I need an experienced network engineer to jump in, isolate the root causes, and leave the entire environment stable and secure.
Scope
The job covers every layer that might be contributing to these symptoms—routers, switches, firewalls / security appliances, and even the cabling runs between closets. You’ll be expected to inspect configurations (Cisco IOS, Juniper, FortiOS or similar), test physical links, run packet captures with Wireshark or equivalent, and tighten any loose security rules you uncover.
Deliverables
• Clear root-cause report for each problem found
• Corrected or optimised device configurations (backed up before and after)
• Verified performance metrics showing the improvements
• Short hardening checklist so the same issues don’t reappear
I have console and remote access ready; just tell me the order you’d like it handed over. Please detail your relevant experience with multi-vendor gear, outline the diagnostic approach you normally follow, and give an estimated turnaround time.
