Cisco Engineer for Network Gear Onboarding

Job ID: 39888157

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m looking for a Cisco engineer who can handle the initial onboarding and day-to-day visibility of our network gear. The environment includes a Cisco ASA firewall and several Cisco switches that must appear in the following platforms: Cisco ISE, CAT Tools, Cisco DNAC, and SolarWinds.

Scope of work
• Add the ASA and switches to each platform, confirm they are properly discovered, and apply standard templates or default profiles as needed.
• Verify connectivity, logging, and SNMP so that health, interface status, and basic alerts populate in SolarWinds and DNAC dashboards.
• Ensure ISE identifies the devices and records authentication events.
• Provide light monitoring and maintenance for the first week—checking that polling, traps, and syslogs continue to flow.
• Deliver a brief handover document noting credentials used, steps taken, and any follow-up recommendations.

This phase is strictly a basic setup; no custom security policies, VLAN redesigns, or ACL work are required right now. Remote access will be supplied via VPN, and I’m ready to start as soon as we agree on the timeline.
