Access Point Cabling Tasks
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Scope of Work – Cable Installation for Access Point (AP)
A new network cable installation will be performed to support an Access Point (AP) inside the store. The project includes running approximately 300 feet of Cat6 Ethernet cable from the designated network switch location to the AP mounting location.
Work to Be Performed
Install approximately 300FT of Cat6 cable from switch to AP location
Route cable through approved pathways (ceiling, conduit, or wall as applicable) and secure properly
Terminate both ends using RJ-45 connectors (T568B standard)
Label both ends for proper identification
Test cable for continuity, proper pinout, and performance
Verify PoE delivery and confirm network connectivity upon completion
This installation will ensure stable data transmission and proper Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for the Access Point.
Tools & Materials Required
Cabling & Termination Tools
Cat6 bulk cable (minimum 300FT)
RJ-45 connectors (Cat6 rated)
Crimping tool
