configure external, or remote access to the NAS

I am looking for a freelance professional to configure external, or remote, access to my NAS device. My device is from the Synology brand. When applying for the project, I would like potential freelancers to include their experience in their application. As far as specific requirements for the configuration go, I am not sure what is best for this project so I am open to suggestions from the freelancer who is assigned the task.
