Windows Server PXE Boot Configuration Expert

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist with a strong background in PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) network booting, particularly using netboot.xyz, to assist in setting up a remote booting system for our local network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and implementing a secure and efficient network booting solution that allows remote booting into our local machines via a VPS (Virtual Private Server).
Key Responsibilities:
Setup and Configuration of netboot.xyz: Install and configure netboot.xyz on our VPS, ensuring it is properly set up to facilitate remote network booting.
IPsec Implementation: Install and configure IPsec on both the VPS and our Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) system. This involves establishing a secure IPsec tunnel between the VPS and the NAS within our local network.
Network Booting Configuration: Configure the system so that netboot.xyz can enable our local machines to boot remotely from the VPS. This includes ensuring compatibility and efficient communication between the VPS, NAS, and local machines.
Docker Container Management: Oversee the installation and management of Docker containers as required, ensuring they are properly integrated with netboot.xyz and the overall network booting setup.
Security and Efficiency: Ensure that the entire setup is secure, using best practices for network security, and operates efficiently with minimal latency or disruption.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert troubleshooting support for any issues arising during or after the setup. This includes diagnosing and resolving network, hardware, or software problems related to the PXE boot process.
Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation detailing the setup process, configurations, and any important considerations. Provide regular updates and reports on the progress and status of the project.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with network booting technologies, specifically PXE and netboot.xyz.
Strong understanding of IPsec and its implementation in a network environment.
Experience with Docker containerization and its integration in network setups.
Familiarity with Synology NAS systems and their configuration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
