Web Browser DVR Access Setup
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a Network/IP DVR that I need to view directly through a web browser. My immediate goal is to get it working in Edge Internet Explorer mode, so the scope is intentionally lean and focused on the essentials.
Here’s what I need:
• Diagnose the DVR’s current network configuration and confirm which ports or services must be exposed for browser access.
• Guide me—step by step—through any router or firewall changes so I can reach the DVR from outside my local network.
• Ensure the live-view page loads and streams correctly in Edge’s IE mode (no need to optimise for other browsers at this stage, though pointers are welcome).
• Provide a short checklist of basic security best practices, since I’m not sure what measures I already have in place.
A quick remote session or a concise walkthrough document is fine—whichever gets me up and running fastest. I’m looking for clear, actionable instructions with minimal downtime.
