Setup 2 step Chained VPN from with synology NAS as host in the middle (docker preferred)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have to connect to my office with PPTP in order to use our mapped network drives. I want to route my connection from my windows 10 laptop through my home Synology NAS (running DSM 7.1.1) via VPN then on to my office VPN so that my mapped work drives on my laptop work as normal and the work VPN sees me as being at home.
I currently have a wireguard server running in DOCKER using the wg-easy container on my Synology NAS that I can connect to from my laptop. We can continue to use that or change it to an OPENVPN server if that is better. I would prefer to have another DOCKER container with a PPTP Client in it do the PPTP jump, and link the two VPNs, but we can use the built in Synology PPTP Client if absolutely necessary or maybe you have a better idea.
If possible, I would like a script written that telnets/ssh into my NAS and starts the PPTP connection, so I do not have to log in through the GUI or manually ssh.
Successful applicants should include a detailed project proposal in their application.
Thanks for your interest!
